Day 14-Mommy Makeover Bootcamp

Today is the day to take a break. Relax, have some fun, take a moment for yourself. (take at least 30 min for yourself)

Journal: How have you changed so far? How has your family changed? Do they notice a change in you? Do they respond differently?

Day 7--Mommy Makeover Bootcamp

Our title for today is Spiritual. I saved this for last because this first week has been about reconnecting with ourselves. Our dreams and desires. Your body, mind, and spirit are all connected. Search yourself for how you want your spiritual life to be this year. Do you want to be closer to God? To do more for others? To feel more at peace with yourself and where you are in your life?

Challenge: Spend 15 min. at the beginning of everyday connecting with God. Meditation, prayer, personal quiet.

Journal: What has God shown you about yourself/your life this past week?

Catch your breath

Breath, just breath. Today, find a quiet spot (even if you have to stay up late or lock yourself in the bathroom). Now close your eyes and take a deep breath. Breath in starting with your stomach, filling up every inch until you cannot inhale any more. Then exhale in reverse. Start with the top of your lungs until you get to your stomach. Do this slowly for five or six times.

When you find yourself overwhelmed, in chaos, in constant forward motion, it's a good idea to stop and breath.

Reconnecting with yourself.

Time to take a break. Find a quiet spot. If you're like me, you may have to wait until the wee hours of the morning or really late at night. No matter when you stop, remember to close your eyes, take a deep breath and think about peace. Find a mantra or motto. Sometimes it helps just to say "Praise God" over and over. Determine what your motto is and repeat it over and over until you feel yourself relax.

During this time give thanks for your blessings. You may have to search long and hard if you are not feeling very blessed at the moment, however, there is always something to be thankful for. Even if it is simply that God loves you.

Are you in touch with your spiritual side?

How often do you talk to God? Always, sometimes, never? Take a few moments everyday this week to spend with God. Pick a quiet spot and a quiet time. Say a prayer and connect with God. If you want to, read the Bible or some other devotional/inspirational book. Or simply close your eyes, take some deep breaths and talk with God. It doesn't have to be some deep, selfless prayer thing. Sing a praise song, talk about everyday life, do whatever gives you a rested, peaceful feeling and keeps you connected with the spirit that lives within you.

Is This Blog Right For You?

Did you wake up one morning and realize that your life was nothing like you had imagined it would be? Or perhaps you're looking in the mirror wondering who is that person staring back at you. Do you sometimes sit and daydream about what you really want your life to be like?

Is this your reality? Your husband is due home in an hour, you have no idea what's for dinner-so you think about ordering pizza-except you didn't record a few of the debit transactions last week and you're low on cash. While you're standing in the kitchen trying to decide what's for dinner, the kids found the candy stash you had hidden and they've eaten most of it. Now all three (or more) of them are chasing the dog around the house trying to dress it up in your daughter's dress up clothes. "But Mom, Sparky likes to dress up as a princess."

Are you dreaming of a life where there is more than enough money to go around, you almost always know what is for dinner and have already done most of the preparation by the time "dinner time" rolls around, the kids are well behaved and they help out around the house without too much argument, you are able to play with the kids because you are fit and energized and the house is clean and uncluttered so you aren't spending family time cleaning up?

Does that sound like a dream that will never come true? Well you've come to the right place. I have embarked on a journey to help all of those moms that think that it will never get done and that a peaceful life is for other women.

We deserve a wonderful life and our families deserve it also. They deserve a mom who is in touch with who she is and who is able to fully show them love without being constantly worried about day to day life.

Each week I will post one thing about the different areas in a woman's life. These areas include: home, family, finances, health, career, spiritual/self-care, and overall organization.
I am so excited! Join me and feel free to leave me comments.
